As I tell family, friends, and those I meet about Gateway Sight & Sound and that we will be providing automation for home and business, the initial question is almost always the same. What is automation?
It is a valid question. In the past, automated homes and places of business have been relegated to higher end home and business owners. But we are no longer living in the past! Today, technology is better than ever and that technology is becoming more affordable. Almost anyone can benefit from the comfort, safety, convenience, and luxury that results from owning an automated system. The scalability allows it to meet the needs of those interested in an elegant one-room solution all the way to the ultra-high end client who wants to fully automate their entire estate, property, or business.

As you can see, automation or home control can include everything from audio/visual equipment, lighting, safety and security, climate control, communication, and much more. You are also able to remotely monitor everything controlled by your automated system. One way I like to simply describe automation is that it is like having a remote control that can control everything in your home or business and that remote control can be used anywhere in the world.
